The Sports Museum - Where Legends Live

The Sports Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution housed in the TD Banknorth Garden that has served Boston and New England for the past 30 years.

At The Sports Museum, we preserve and showcase the distinctly rich sports history of New England -- and use that heritage to help build character in kids so that they can make the right choices in the face of drugs, violence, and other challenges.

Cementing a Rivalry: The Yankee Stadium Jersey

For fans interested in viewing the now famous David Ortiz "Yankee Curse" Red Sox jersey, The Sports Museum will have it on display beginning April 18th, for the next 3 - 4 weeks. The exhibit, entitled "Cementing a Rivalry: The Yankee Stadium Jersey," will contain not only the actual jersey excavated from the foundation of the new Yankee Stadium, but also tabloid headlines and photos from both New York and Boston as the story unfolded over the past week.

The Sports Museum received the jersey on loan from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund.
