Our "unpaid" internship programs are designed to give college students an opportunity to supplement their formal education with a career-related experience. Unpaid interns are interns that will be receiving school credit, but will not receive an hourly wage.

HUMAN RESOURCES INTERNSHIP

Your Role: As an intern in Human Resources, you will learn the many facets of recruiting, retention, and HR law and compliance in a high-paced, high-volume environment!

Our Expectations: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general administrative support, job postings, schedule paperwork appointments with new hires and implement paperwork session, research and develop partnerships to enhance recruitment efforts, and assist in the development of intern events, Intern Orientation, intern recruitment, and future internship programs.


MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Your Role: Interns are responsible for monitoring the media information pertinent to the Garden on a daily basis. They assist in processing ticket requests for non-profit organizations. They are also depended upon to oversee print and radio trade for upcoming events. Interns often research upcoming events and assist with promotions relating to specific events. In addition, Marketing interns assist with Public Relations at most or all concerts and special events during their internship.

Our Expectations: Marketing interns should be creative, motivated and interested in the field of Entertainment Marketing. Students will be expected to do online research on a regular basis, so Internet research skills are a must. Additional expectations include: writing and interpersonal skills, ability to learn quickly, and a motivated self-starter. Availability for some nights and weekends is required. In addition, students should be studying Marketing, Public Relations, Sports Management and/or Communications. Students must be able to earn credit for the internship.


BOSTON BRUINS COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP

Your Role: The Boston Bruins Communications Internship is a position that fulfills a variety of roles within the Bruins Communications Department. Interns will gain experience working in the Public Relations, Media Relations, and Communications aspects of the department. Essential duties are as follows:
  • Compiling press clippings for distribution to Bruins management and coaching staff
  • Compiling stat packets for distribution to Bruins management and coaching staff
  • Authoring feature stories for the Boston Bruins website, bostonbruins.com
  • Assisting in the gameday media operations for all Boston Bruins home games
  • Coordinating interviews between members of the local and national media and Bruins players
  • Transcribing coach and player interviews for distribution to local media
  • Working with the Bruins Communications staff to create and develop pitches to publicize the Bruins players, staff and organization
  • Assisting in the media operations of the NHL Draft including research of prospects and drafted players, coordinating interviews with drafted players, authoring biographies of drafted players and authoring feature stories on bostonbruins.com (Summer only)
  • Assisting in the media operations of the Bruins Development Camp- a week-long camp for Bruins prospects and draft picks. This will include coordinating interviews with players and local/national media, authoring biographies of attendees, transcribing coach and player interviews after practices and authoring feature stories on bostonbruins.com (Summer only)
Our Expectations: This is a writing-intensive position as prospective candidates will publish stories on the Boston Bruins website and should possess strong writing backgrounds. Candidates must be organized, responsible, punctual and have flexible schedules to work some nights and all Bruins home games during the time of the internship.
